East Riding of Yorkshire Council agrees initial cost-of-living support measures

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has today agreed an initial number of cost-of-living support measures as part of the Help for Households campaign. Utilising the council's cost-of-living reserve, the recommendations agreed at cabinet include: £200,000 to install cavity wall and roof insulation for up to 1,000 homes. £100,000 to support the voluntary and community sector, help ensure its sustainability, develop new initiatives for social cohesion, health and wellbeing activities. £200,000 financial support for the East Riding Food Poverty Alliance (ERFPA) and local foodbanks.
