Please see below for the scale of charges which were reviewed at a Finance & General Purposes Committee Meeting held on 26 May 2022.

Ownership Registration and Transfer

Definitions – Hedon Resident:

(a) Upon Initial Purchase
At the time of applying for the purchase of Exclusive Right of Burial the applicant must, to qualify for the Hedon resident’s price, either currently live within the boundary of Hedon or have lived in Hedon and left the Town to go into “care” or be cared for by relatives – subject to provision of formal proof if requested by the Town Council.

b) Upon Death
At the time of death the deceased person must, to qualify for the Hedon resident’s fee for interment either have lived within the boundary of Hedon and left to go into “care” or be cared for by relatives – subject to provision of formal proof, if requested by the Town Council.

Additional Fees will apply for transfer of Right of Burial from resident to non-resident of a useable plot.
