Hedon Market will remain closed for the moment. The Council was in the process of appointing a new Market Manager when the country went into lockdown. The Mayor had a very tough job picking the winners of the 'Best Dressed House' competition and all the entrants will receive a Certificate to commemorate the day. 1st prize went to Billie-Jo and James Taylor of Charles Street, Hedon 2nd prize went to Pam McKinley of Colemans Road, Hedon 3rd prize went to Andy Hampel of Church Lane, Hedon Congratulations to the three winners and to everyone who took part. Hedon "Stay at Home" House and Garden Parties

COMPETITION: BEST DRESSED HOUSE On behalf of Hedon's VE Group, thanks to everyone who entered their house in the competition. Aside from the excellent entries, many people also made the effort to mark the day by just hanging out a flag or some bunting. It meant that, if you were out for your daily exercise, you couldn't miss the fact that the whole town was celebrating 75 years of peace. Although the three day programme of entertainment planned had to be cancelled, the effort of everyone who decorated their houses and gardens meant that it was still a special day.
