It has been a very busy and enjoyable year representing the Town of Hedon since the Mayor Making Ceremony in May 2012.

As the 665th Mayor of Hedon, the Mayoress and I have attended many official engagements including Civic Services, a Celebration for the Olympic Torch in Beverley, Yorkshire Day in Scarborough, a Battle of Britain Service, a Commemoration of a Monument to World War II American and Canadian Spitfire Pilots as well as Hedon’s own Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in June and our own Civic Service and Parade in September. We have also held an afternoon tea at our own home to raise funds for charity and hosted a Silver Show at the Town Hall, Remembrance Sunday and the Hedon Christmas Lights Switch-on.

These are tough times for many families, both financially and economically, so we can only look to the future.

Cllr. Jim and Mrs. Sue Lindop

Mayor and Mayoress of the Historic Town Of Hedon
